Jaigarh Fort

Of the three forts in the area, this one was thought to be the strongest and was never overrun in combat. It is most famous for being the location of the largest cannon in the world, the Jaivana, which was only tested once and is said to have shot 35 kilometers while using only half the amount of gunpowder intended for the shot! The lovely gardens at the other end of the fort, along with the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and Amber Fort, are a greater reason to visit. Within the fort grounds are also the remnants of the foundry where the Jaivana (as well as numerous others) were cast.

Nahargarh Fort

The smallest of the three forts, it is most famous for its superb views over the expansive Jaipur and Man Sagar lake. The (relatively) small Madhavendra Bhawan palace is also located within the fort, though pigeon droppings and new graffiti are quickly eroding the palace's original grandeur. This fort served as the filming location for a portion of Rang De Basanti. Once you enter the fort, turn left to go to the location where the song "Pathshala" was filmed.

Govind Devji Temple

After Vrindavan, this temple holds the utmost significance for Vaishnavites, especially those who worship Lord Krishna. During the Mughal era, Lord Krishna, the temple's presiding deity, was transported from Vrindavan to Jaipur. The idol of Lord Krishna in the temple is said to resemble the god himself exactly during his Earthly incarnation, according to popular belief. It is situated on the same campus as City Palace at Jainiwas Gardens, Jalebi Chowk.

Moti Doongri temple

The Moti Doongri temple is situated in Jaipur's city center. The primary religious hub for the people of Jaipur is this temple. Moti Dungri, or Pearl Hill, is essentially a little hill. On this hill are a palace and a temple. The Moti Dungri temple is devoted to Lord Ganesha, and legend has it that it was built first to defend the city when it was first established.

Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Below the well-known Moti Dungri fort is the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, also known as The Marble Temple or Birla Temple. is a rather recent temple with exquisite carvings carved out of white marble. It is constructed in a modern style and occupies a sizable portion of Jaipur City. The best, most exquisite white marbles were used in the construction of the entire Birla Temple.

Galtaji

Situated near Sisodia Rani Garden on the Jaipur-Agra highway, 10 km from Jaipur, lies Galtaji, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site. The primary temple located here is the Galtaji Temple, which is built of pink stone. Numerous pavilions with rounded roofs, finely carved pillars, and painted walls can be found within the temple. Natural springs and reservoirs that are revered surround the temple. Here are seven more tanks, or kunds.

Sisodia Rani Garden and Pala

Six kilometers from Jaipur city is the palace garden known as Sisodia Rani Garden and Palace. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II constructed it in 1728. The area is made up of multi-tiered gardens with painted pavilions, watercourses, and fountains. The upper terrace of the garden is occupied by a double-story palace. The palace is filled with galleries, pavilions, and exquisite murals that portray events from Lord Krishna's life.
The rani (queen) for whom the palace garden was constructed gave it the name Sisodia Rani Garden and Palace. Her family was the Sisodia branch of the Suryavanshi (Sun dynasty) Rajputs, who were the governing and nominally still ruling Mewar in Rajasthan.
